Xfinity customers will soon be able to access their favorite HBO content in yet another way: through the Xbox 360. Starting early next week, customers will be able to access HBO GO on Xbox LIVE in addition to the number of ways HBO programming is already available for Xfinity TV customers, including on the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, Android phones and tablets; through HBOGO.com and XfinityTV.com; on Video-On-Demand and of course, on linear TV! To access HBO GO on Xbox LIVE, customers can use the same username and password that they use for Xfinity TV on Xbox.
When we first began covering Auditorium , Pulse , and Fractal creator Cipher Prime, developer Will Stallwood spoke mostly in uncertainties concerning his coming sequel, Auditorium 2: Duet : “We’re hoping to,” “Only if,” “We’re going to try” and similar phrases. Today the update on Duet ’s Kickstarter is full of certainty: “WE DID IT!!!!!!!” With less than three days left to fund the project, Cipher Prime raised more than $60,000, completing its goal and ensuring work on Duet is a go. More than 55 hours still remain in its campaign, and it is still collecting what we like to call “icing” funding.
Hello everybody! We’ve been hard at work since we first unveiled Papo & Yo last summer, and the game has come a long way in the past few months. As we get ready to (finally!) show off more of the game next week at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, I wanted to take the opportunity to tell you all a little bit about how Monster – a character very important to both the story and to me personally – has evolved since my initial concept into the Monster you see today. Xbox users may have noticed a mandatory patch preempting their power-up procedures today, the effects of which were either immediately apparent or completely unnoticeable, depending on whether a certain color display issue had reared its head. The patch doesn’t apply to apps, however, so developers will have to implement the fix independently; a process that will take place “over the coming months,” according to Major Nelson .
Rising Star Games , UK publisher of Japanese franchises such as Harvest Moon and No More Heroes , is making a foray into US publishing, MCV reports. Rising Star has opened an office in California and plans to release its first title, Cave’s Akai Katana , on Xbox 360 in Q2 2012. We’ve watched with bitter jealousy as Japan and Europe enjoyed some of these releases exclusively, and Cave in particular has been very good at rubbing it in our faces .
